   I think the hardest part of having a Marine, at this point, is when he is missing home. When you can hear it in his voice that he wants to be home, but knows he must continue on. AND, instead of being able to go and get them, you have to continue to encourage him that he is where he should be.

2. Harder than bootcamp?

   I know it's hard to believe, but I think it was harder when my Marine was at MCT (Marine Combat Training) than when he was in bootcamp! At least while he was at boot, you could write to him and he could write to you. But during MCT there is absolutely NO COMMUNICATION! Now, that's hard!!!
